Week 18 - Round up of the WSL
After their midweek triumph, Chelsea looked set for another routine win in the Women’s Super League. Within 20 minutes, they raced to a 2-0 lead at Kingsmeadow thanks to goals from Maika Hamano and Aggie Beever-Jones, and appeared well on course to maintain their dominant form.
But just before the break, West Ham pulled one back through Shekiera Martinez, shifting the momentum. The second half turned into a more balanced contest, with chances at both ends and a higher tempo throughout.
Then, in stoppage time, West Ham struck again—snatching a dramatic equaliser and securing a valuable point. For Chelsea, it was the first time this season they failed to win at Kingsmeadow.
