West Ham United had a dramatic start against Manchester City, that saw them two goals down in as many minutes, and after the third Manchester City goal it seemed destined that Manchester City would get an easy win. However, West Ham United did have some major chances, as they found Keating on their way multiple times as well as hitting the framework on at least three occasions. It felt like one of those games, where things just didn’t want to fall West Ham’s way. Arsenal secured a spot in the top three, with a good win at the Emirates against Leicester City (3-0).
At Leigh Sports Village, Tottenham Hotspur looked well on their way to get their first victory against Manchester United ever. However, deep in injury time Maya Le Tissier scored a header in the midst of a corner scramble in front of Becky Spencer’s goal. However, in the end it will be a disappointment for Manchester United, as they now won’t be able to finish in the top 4, and therefore won’t play European football next season. How will this effect their in- and outgoing transfers this summer? Interesting times ahead.
