Now the Nation’s League has finished and the rankings have been finalized it’s time to shift our international focus towards the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 Championship. This will be the 14th edition organized by the UEFA for the women’s national teams of Europe. The tournament will be held in Switzerland during July 2025. For the third consecutive time it will be a competition with 16 teams.
Host Selection
Switzerland was chosen as a host-country over the likes of a combined bid by the Nordics (Denmark/Finland/Norway/Sweden), a bid by Poland and a bid by France. Ukraine also submitted a bid, however due to the war it needed to withdraw their bid. For Switzerland it means they will get their third appearance in the Euroes, with their last appearance in 2022 ending in the group stage.
Venues
Eight host cities and stadiums have been selected for the Switzerland bid, with the final being played in Basel on the 27th of July. Geneva and Zürich have been chosen as the semi-final hosts.
