Manchester's clubs come out victorious in a 4-game WSL weekend.

With both Chelsea and Arsenal’s game postponed due to their Conti Cup final on Sunday, the WSL featured only four games this weekend. While both Manchester clubs came out victorious with 4-1 wins, the mid-table teams all managed to get a draw and some points this weekend. Manchester United had a very poor first half, where a Maya Le Tissier mistake saw Everton take the lead, thanks to Snoeijs. Hoewever, it was a game of two halves and in the second half Manchester United made sure they came out victorious by scoring four goals. Three of them came in a span of 8 minutes with Millie Turner and Ella Toone (2x) giving United a comfortable 3-1 lead. Just before the end Leah Galton scored a fourth goal, to give the victory some extra glance.

The blue side of Manchester also managed to get a 4-1 victory in a tough-away game at Liverpool. Goals by Hemp, Park and Shaw (2x) gave the Blues a 4-0 lead. However, an own goal by Keating saw Tottenham Hotspur get on the scoresheet once again, and once again the Blues don’t manage to get a clean sheet. With the title race potentially being decided on goal difference this season, the lat couple of games without a clean sheet, might make all the difference in the end.

All the results of this weekend:

  • Liverpool – Manchester City (1-4)
  • Aston Villa – Leicester City (2-2)
  • Manchester United – Everton (4-1)
  • West Ham United – Brighton & Hove Albion (0-0)
