On March 20th the draw was held for the Women’s Football Olympic Tournament. From all federations (except Africa) it has been determined who will go to France this summer. However, the draw proved to be somewhat predictable for pots A and B. As pot A consisted of two European teams and the USA, it meant that before the draw was even performed the USA knew they would face Germany from pot B, as Germany couldn’t be alotted in the same poule as France or Spain. However, after the final draw some very competitive and strong groups. Note: the two African teams are hereby called CAF 1 en CAF 2, and will be determined once their final matches are played.
