Even though the Olympic Games are held in Paris, the women’s football tournament will be played scattered around the country. In total there are 7 stadiums/places were football games will be held:
- Paris
- Nantes

In this blog post we will explore some details about each stadium, and where to find them.
Paris – Parc de Princes
The Parc de Princes stadium is located in the south-west of the French capital at the 24 Rue du Commandant Guilbaud. The stadium has a capacity of 48.229.
Nantes- Stade de la Beaujoire
The Stade de la Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau is located in the north-west of the city at the Route de Saint Joseph. The stadium has a capacity of 35.322. Originally it was planned that a new stadium named YelloPark would be built to replace the Stade de la Beaujoire before the Olympics and the Rugby World Cup, however this project was cancelled in 2019.
Bordeaux – Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux (Matmut Atlantique)
The Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux is located at the Cours Jules-Ladoumègue and was opened in 2015. The stadium has a capacity of 42.115.
Saint-Étienne – Stade Geoffroy-Guichard
The Stade Geoffroy-Guichard is located at 14 rue Paul-et-Pierre-Guichard in Saint-Étienne and is named after the founder of the Casino Retail Group. The stadium has a capacity of 41.965.
Marseille – Stade Vélodrome
The Stade Vélodrome is located at the 3 Boulevard Michelet. As most of the stadiums in France, the stadium is used as a multi-purpose stadium, and it has been used for Rugby matches as well as the start/finish for a Tour de France stage in 2017. The stadium has a capacity of 67.394. It is the biggest stadium in terms of capacity that is used for women’s football at the Olympic Games.
Nice – Allianz Riviera
The Allianz Riviera stadium (also know as the Stade de Nice) is located at the Rue Jules Bianchi, Saint-Isidore in Nice. The stadium hosted women’s football before, as it was one of the stadiums to host matches at the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup. The capacity at the stadium is 36.178.
Décines-Charpieu (Lyon Area) – Parc Olympique Lyonnais
The Parc Olympique Lyonnais is located at the Décines-Charpieu, Metropolis of Lyon and it replaced the previous stadium the Stade de Gerland in 2016. The capacity of the ground is 59.186, and it was used as the stadium for the final game at the 2019 Women’s World Cup between USA and the Netherlands.
